Frequently asked questions
What ingredients are in the Garden of Flowers conditioner bar?
This is an emulsifier-based conditioner bar (not a soap). It contains polawax, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, cocoa butter, kokum butter and flaxseed oil, scented with rose, jasmine and lavender. It is 100% palm-oil-free, vegan and made by hand with organic ingredients where possible.
Does this conditioner bar work in hard water?
Yes. Because this is a conditioner bar (emulsifier-based, not soap), hard water is far less of an issue than with our shampoo bars. For best results across our full routine in hard-water areas, we still recommend a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse after shampooing, before conditioning. The conditioner itself glides on smoothly in soft, moderate and hard water.
Is there a transition period when switching from a liquid conditioner?
Most of the adjustment period (typically 1–4 weeks) comes from switching shampoo, not conditioner. If you are moving away from products with heavy silicones, your hair may need a wash or two to fully accept a natural conditioner. Many customers notice softness from the very first use.
How does a conditioner bar compare to a bottled liquid conditioner?
A bottled conditioner is mostly water. This bar is the concentrated conditioning matter without the water, the plastic bottle or the preservatives water requires. One 100g bar gives roughly 50–80 conditioning sessions, travels well and ships plastic-free. Free EU shipping over €60.
How quickly will I see results?
Most people feel a clear difference in slip and softness during the first wash. Full results — shine, manageability, less frizz — usually settle in over the first 2–3 washes as your hair adapts to the natural formula. If you are also switching shampoo, allow up to 4 weeks for the full transition.
